Happy Tuesday with a quick update from Jaco, Costa Rica!!
We arrived Wednesday around 4 am at our home for the next 6ish weeks and have been learning so much about the ministry and community of Jaco.
During our time here, we are serving with Ocean’s Edge Ministries. Ocean’s Edge serves through their ministry base (where we are living), missions programs, and outreach programs in partnership with Horizon Church. They serve to positively impact the world by helping others live the abundant life through a personal relationship with God and a mission lifestyle.
Since we were traveling amidst covid, our host has opted to start us serving within the walls of the ministry to protect the trust and safety of the community. We’ve been working on several different projects to advance the mission and vision of Ocean’s Edge. We kicked off our first full week of ministry today and I’m excited to update you more specifically as we dive into what the Lord is doing here in Jaco!
These first few days have already been an incredible snapshot of the next 11 months – living in community, immersing ourselves in new cultures, and wholeheartedly pursuing our sweet Jesus!!
Praises for all my squadmates being healthy and COVID free, for an amazing ministry host (including a new puppy!), and for the ways the Lord is revealing himself to us! Prayers as we adjust to this new rhythm of life and for open hearts here in Jaco.
